LighTech has developed an innovative concept of impact absorption, focusing entirely on the quality of the materials and many years of testing together with the most important World Superbike, Supersport and Superstock teams. The base of the protection is made of very light magnesium, the best material for absorbing impacts: the upper mounting bush is also made of magnesium, capable of cushioning the impact during a fall without transferring the load to the frame. The internal ring is made of a special polymer capable of cushioning the strongest blows. Finally, the external pad, the one that first comes into contact with the asphalt, has the task of resisting abrasion and being light: it is therefore made of a special glass-mixed nylon.
