Not sure exactly what the material is, but it's sturdy yet has plenty of give making for a comfortable, high quality backrest. Mounts with strong double sided adhesive that doesn't look like will ever come off. This is a must if you have the Outback top case. (Posted on 16/08/2015)Overall

I added this to my trekker outback 58 ltr top case and my daughter loves it, the material is at the same time firm and soft enough to be comfortable. She can now lean back and really enjoy the ride.
