This device is in fact able to increase the thermal insulation when used with a motorcycle jacket. We found out that: A 3-layer jacket, equipped with the Chest Protector increases its thermal insulation by 11.5% A 3-layer jacket equipped with the Thorax Protector increases its thermal insulation by 15% Thorax Protector can be equipped to all SPIDI jackets that that can be equipped with traditional Warrior Chest protector; alternatively can be worn using the straps provided.
