Alpinestars winter Balaclava is a waterproof underbody to wear over the jacket, it constitutes an impenetrable barrier from the elements. This balaclava consists of two thin layers, Lycra and micro fiber coating to make the part under the helmet more comfortable.

One thing you want in a balaclava is durability, I've been using my Alpinestars balaclava for years without any tears, rips or noticeable stretching in the material.
