I've been wearing these boots both on the track and the street for the last 3 years and they're still in great shape. I have wide feet and normally I order boots 1 euro size up but this is not the case with the AStars S-MX Plus Boot. I'm wearing my normal size with great comfort. The quality of the S-MX Plus Boots is top notch offering high-level of protection. It feels like you're wearing highly comfortable ski-boots (if such a thing exists). I wasn't expecting the sole to last this long but it's still in good condition. So the AStars' Durable Sole statement is true and not just a marketing gimmick!
The many replaceable parts such as the heel or toe sliders add value to the boots.
And the only down side I can think of is that these boots may squeak a little when you walk in them just like ski boots do. This is because of the Multi Link Control System. Since I didn't buy these boots for walking that really doesn't bother me though.

I like the concept of this boot with the inner booty. It allows for a custom tailored fit. However, the inner booty only covers the foot and not the ankle. Therefore, it would seemingly only provide half the protection of it's more expensive brother, the Supertech R. The sizes runs more true to other brands, Sidi i.e.. A 45 fit me well. Quality is high.
