Only a cold weather glove in temperate climates.Valorado por Taeglan Thornton

I've now owned the Rukka R-Star gloves for over 3 years and 60,000km. Durability has been great and besides discoloration to the leather from sun exposure, there is very little wear overall. I can also comment on my experience of using this glove in the cold weather of the Pacific Northwest.
On any given ride, I wouldn't ever have a single drop of water ingress through the fabric, which is important on those near 0C rides, since if I had, it might have given me frostbite. I understand there is little a glove that attempts to maintain reasonable control of the bike can do in 120kph windchill at freezing ambient temps.
But these gloves *will not* keep you warm if you are riding in similar conditions. They will keep you dry, and that's half the battle, but as of the hour 2 mark of my ride, I was getting significant numbness in my finger tips, and slight numbness on the top of my hand. While I haven't purchased heated grips myself yet, I *strongly* recommend that anyone who will use these near freezing temps do so.
Other than the insulation issues, the fit of the glove is spot on, using the given size chart. They fit snug but aren't limiting in mobility. I'd wish for a slightly beefed up slider on the palm, but the upside of the reinforced form palm support is no pressure points on the grips of the motorcycle.
The cuff design is slightly annoying, however I don't use it too much, as tucking my cuffs into the gloves allows water to run down inside and get my hands wet. This leads me to one last issue, one that has been mentioned by others. The fabric in the lining makes the glove a royal pain to put on with wet hands. I had to take my gloves off for a break on the side of the road during my rain test, and in the few minutes I had them off, my hands got wet enough that getting them on required an immense amount of finger wiggling and fidgeting.
Lastly, I really wanted a glove with touch screen capability, but in every other glo (Escrito el 28/3/2024)

I have been using these for about a month and can tell they not do as well as the Gerbing 12V Extreme they replaced for about the same price. I had read decent reviews and decided to try them. Weather is just now starting to get cold enough to really test the heating ability and I am already disappointed. Probably going to give them to a friend that doesn't ride when it gets cold enough to make these useless. (Escrito el 21/10/2024)
