For my Dainese Avro C2 in size EU44, the Small version is spot-on. Perhaps the L2 isn't as flexible as the Alpinestars Nucleon thorax piece, but higher protection is a worthy tradeoff. No quirks here, and the airflow isn't hindered in any way per se. The added bulk is muted so as to avoid any gargantuan pressure around the chest; there remains plenty of available room for movement.
