The tether system of the vest is awesome. The electronic version sounds appealing but it's very easy to forget to keep your battery topped off, which can lead to a life/death case! I just received my Helite airbag, and couldn't be happier with my first experience purchasing from Motorstorm. It took roughly three weeks to arrive in the US, but I expected delays this time of year. My greatest uncertainty with this purchase was sizing, so I'll offer my details in hopes someone can benefit. I'm 6'3" and 190lbs, so on the slender side. The normal Large fits a bit loose in a t-shirt, but it could be done if this is desirable. My torso is long, however the Large still covers everything from my seat up to my neck. With my size 54 textile jacket, the Large fits perfectly in just about every dimension. Hope this helps with regards to sizing because I read some people were accidently purchasing the Large-L thinking it represented long.(Posted on 14/12/2022)Overall

Safety first. . . i'm a little older and a lot wiser than I once was and can say for sure I wouldn't ride without it. I have one friend who didn't in are younger days and he's been in a wheel chair ever since. I really believe that this could have saved him from such injuries. In any case, give it a try. The tether is low tech and simple. The clip can be a bit tough to undo, but it's a compromise for safety. Just adding that the sizing is a little weird so maybe this helps. I'm 6' @ 230-235ish and it fits great over a mesh jacket and a winter jacket. it's a little tight with the winter jacket and the liner in it but perfect over the mesh. Lots of adjustment. Only complaint is the collar can push on your helmet if you are really crunched over on a sport bike. not bad, but you know it's there. On my other bikes I don't notice it. Also wish that extra lanyards were more easily available and not quite so expensive, but i like running a short leash on it and not having to worry about charging something up.(Posted on 25/05/2023)Overall

I have one of these vests and it makes me feel safe riding with it. I have seen accidents where the rider would have been better off had they been wearing one of these. Getting one for my son now. This thing fits great, and will GREATLY enhance your sense of security on the road. I'm in between a medium and large in t-shirts, and the medium size fit perfectly over my reinforced (thick) leather jacket. The size chart is WAY off. I recommend going with your actual shirt size. I decided to start writing again after years away (I have 2 kids and took a break while they were young). I knew that if I was going to start riding again it would have to be with a safety mindset. After hours of research I found motorcycle airbags specifically this airbag. The brilliant thing with this airbag is that if it deploys you can refill the canister on your own without having to send it into the manufacturer. It uses a tether instead of a gyroscope. For what it is it's a great value. The vest is very comfortable and very adjustable and fits over my riding jacket. I suggest you purchase a few refills for the CO2 canister. I have never had to deploy this airbag but I like having a refill available if I do, the refill is in my tool kit on the bike. I ordered this vest in black a few months ago. You will get used to wearing it very quickly. Connecting & disconnecting the tether becomes routine like putting on a seatbelt. I have read many reviews from riders that have deployed this vest in an accident and all were extremely positive about the performance of this piece of safety equipment.
